Thanks Paul. For those who haven't read my piece, I should say "followership" is a term I coined as the opposite of "leadership" and I have used it in the context of the politics of paedophilia.

Quite a few writers have used Aristotle's term "catharsis" in the context of the effects of pornography. It really ought to be perfectly familiar to most of the people on the Sentencing Advisory Panel. I must admit, though, I hope they do not think solely in terms of the third dictionary meaning Paul cites: "purgation, especially of the bowels". This meaning had not been uppermost in my mind!

>Also, is it accurate to say "Is paedophilia violent?" was 'presented' at the World Congress of Sexology (Note 48)?

Yes, indeed it is accurate. It was presented at the congress by a certain Mr Paul McClay among several others, on floppy disk! Seriously, though, you have a point. This description slipped past me accidentally. You will notice that elsewhere I have more accurately said the paper was "prepared for" the congress.
